OVERVIEW
The Clinical Assistant (RDA or DA) supports our orthodontist and team in delivering efficient, gentle, and patient-centered care. This role combines clinical excellence with lab/sterilization duties, technology use, and active contributions to practice growth. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-energy environment and is excited to bring ideas, positivity, and ownership to the team.
REPSONSIBILITIES
- Assist with all orthodontic procedures, including indirect bonding of braces, delivering Invisalign and other orthodontic appliances, activating braces, checking Invisalign progress, monitoring a variety of appliances, and handling emergencies
- Advocate for patients and empower them to be active participants in their treatment through outstanding communication, education, and milestone celebrations
- Ensure every patient receives efficient, gentle, and supportive care
- Take detailed, accurate notes to support excellent communication within the team
Sterilization & Lab
- Prepare chairs and instrument setups for all patients
- Complete in-house lab work, such as filling Invisalign and indirect bonding trays, creating Essix retainers, and 3D printing models
- Sterilize and organize all instruments according to SOPs
Other Responsibilities
- Help manage inventory of dental and office supplies
- Participate in marketing and community events (including occasional weekends)
- Contribute ideas for improving workflows, enhancing patient experience, and supporting practice growth
- Supporting our team with other special projects and responsibilities as needed
EXPERIENCE
- Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
- Minimum of 3 years orthodontic assisting experience preferred — but no experience is required if you are highly motivated, engaged, and passionate about orthodontics
- Strong computer and technology skills; comfort in a fully paperless environment
- Energetic, outgoing, and extroverted personality — you thrive when interacting with people
- Background in sales, hospitality, or customer service strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and note-taking skills; highly organized and detail-oriented
- A true “go-getter” who is proactive, adaptable, and motivated by team success
- A passion for orthodontics and patient care is essential

- Office open Tue-Thu, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Possibility of working hours on select Mondays
