We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join our growing compounding pharmacy team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in compounding is preferred but training will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
● Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing customized compounded medications.
● Accurately measure, mix, package, and label medications according to established formulas and procedures.
● Maintain compliance with USP standards, state pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
● Perform inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring expiration dates.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment.
● Process prescriptions and enter patient information accurately into pharmacy software.
● Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
● Assist with quality assurance activities and documentation requirements.
● Participate in routine equipment cleaning, calibration, and maintenance.
● Support front-end pharmacy operations as needed.
Required:
● Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
● Active state pharmacy technician registration/license.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Ability to follow written formulas, procedures, and regulations.
● Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
● Familiarity with pharmacy management software and prescription processing.
