BEST Skills Academy is a private middle and high school learning center in Greenville, South Carolina, dedicated to supporting students' academic and life skills. We serve students in grades 6–9 through a mentoring-inclusive academic model, and our high school learning center offers in-person guidance for students in virtual programs. With a 1:10 instructor-to-student ratio, we ensure every student receives individualized attention. Our approach also includes 180 hours annually of structured mentoring focused on personal growth, financial literacy, civic engagement, and career readiness.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Science Teacher in Greenville, South Carolina. The teacher will conduct engaging and educational lessons for students in grades 6–8. Responsibilities include developing and executing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing mentorship. Additionally, the role involves creating a supportive environment that encourages critical thinking, curiosity, and a love for learning.
Qualifications
- Understand sciences
- Experience in Lesson Planning and curriculum development
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to create an inclusive, compassionate learning environment
- Prior experience working with middle or high school students is a plus
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field is preferred
