Position Summary
We are seeking a BIM Modeler to support the development and coordination of detailed 2D and 3D building system models for commercial construction projects. This role works closely with engineers, designers, BIM coordinators, project managers, and field teams to produce accurate construction documents and coordinated models for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems.
The ideal candidate has experience with Revit and AutoCAD, enjoys solving coordination challenges, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced project environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate 2D and 3D models using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM software.
- Create construction drawings and documentation for mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and process piping.
- Coordinate models with engineers, designers, BIM coordinators, and other trades to identify and resolve clashes and constructability issues.
- Process and manage backgrounds, reference files, and project documentation from internal teams and trade partners.
- Utilize Bluebeam and other markup software to incorporate design revisions and coordinate project changes.
- Organize and maintain project files across network servers, cloud platforms, and document management systems.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure drawings and models meet project standards and client requirements.
- Prepare drawing packages and model deliverables for project submissions.
- Manage workload effectively while meeting multiple project deadlines.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and communicate technical issues proactively.
- Continuously develop BIM, Revit, and construction technology skills.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
- Knowledge of BIM workflows and construction documentation.
- Understanding of commercial building systems, particularly HVAC, plumbing, or process piping, is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working for a mechanical contractor, MEP engineering firm, or construction company.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, or other model coordination platforms.
- Experience producing fabrication, installation, or coordination drawings.
- Understanding of construction sequencing and field coordination.

Pay: $28.00 - $39.00 per hour
