Position Summary
The Regional Operations Manager is the executive team's operational extension in the field. Based in the Corporate Support Office, this leader is deployed to any American Urgent Dental practice—on weekends—to assume full operational leadership of the office.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring complete operational mastery of the dental practice. The Regional Operations Manager must be capable of stepping into any non-clinical role, directing daily operations, supporting clinical workflows, solving real-time challenges, and ensuring every patient receives an exceptional experience.
Serving as the primary point of contact between Executive Leadership and practice teams, this individual translates corporate strategy into operational execution while driving revenue growth, developing teams, maintaining accountability, and ensuring consistency across every location.
The ideal candidate is an adaptable, decisive leader who thrives in dynamic environments, possesses exceptional operational knowledge, and leads by example.
Primary Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Deployment
- Serve as the acting operational leader for any assigned practice.
- Assume responsibility for the overall success of the office during deployment.
- Lead daily huddles, assign priorities, and direct workflow throughout the day.
- Maintain accountability for operational performance, patient satisfaction, and team execution.
- Provide leadership presence during weekends, peak-volume periods, staffing shortages, new office openings, or special projects.
- Build trust and confidence with every practice team while reinforcing American Urgent Dental culture and expectations.
Operational Mastery
The Corporate Field Operations Manager is expected to possess comprehensive knowledge of every operational function within the practice and must be prepared to step into any role when business needs require.

- Act as the primary liaison between Executive Leadership and deployed practices.
- Ensure executive initiatives are clearly communicated and effectively implemented.
- Deliver timely operational updates, performance insights, and recommendations to corporate leadership.
- Identify emerging operational issues before they impact patient care or financial performance.
- Reinforce organizational priorities and strategic initiatives throughout every deployment.
Revenue Growth & Business Performance
- Drive production, collections, and overall practice profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators including:
- Emergency conversion rates
- Same-day treatment acceptance
- Provider productivity
- Schedule utilization
- Collection performance
- Patient retention
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and increase revenue.
- Coach office teams on best practices that improve financial performance while maintaining exceptional patient care.
Leadership Development
- Mentor emerging leaders.

- Support onboarding and training of new team members.
- Foster a culture centered on teamwork, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure every deployed practice operates according to company standards.
- Audit workflows for consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues quickly with minimal disruption.
- Promote exceptional patient experiences through strong leadership and execution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational standardization.
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of progressive dental operations leadership experience.
- Multi-site Dental Service Organization (DSO) experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of front office, patient scheduling, insurance, treatment coordination, and dental practice operations.
- Ability to confidently lead any practice with minimal onboarding.
- Strong financial and operational acumen.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel and work weekends.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
