Ascend Academy is seeking passionate Elementary Teachers (K–5) to join our founding instructional team as we prepare to open in Fall 2026. This is a unique opportunity to help build a positive school culture, shape instructional practices, and make a lasting impact on students and families in the Battle Creek community.
At Ascend Academy, teachers play a key role in creating engaging classrooms where students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally.
What You’ll Do

Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum and learning objectives

Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed

Maintain accurate student records and documentation

Communicate regularly with parents and school staff regarding student progress

Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
-
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s)

Must meet Michigan Department of Education requirements for highly qualified teachers
