Summary:
Support of purchasing management and buyers with daily tasks as needed, responsible for the collection and coordination of information from suppliers, supports tasks in accordance with IATF certification, assists with supplier performance reports, and performs general administrative tasks as needed.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supports the issuance of supplier performance reports, distribution as needed. Responsible to maintain accuracy and timeliness of Purchasing bulletin board.
Support of tooling purchases, tooling insurance, and tooling dispositions to conform to the production requirements of American Mitsuba.
Initiate supplier survey requests and maintain supplier information in the Access supplier database.
Maintain certificate tracking in compliance with IATF.
Support meetings with suppliers and Mitsuba group companies by creating data in Excel and/or PowerPoint.
Issuance of reports including raw material tracking, no price reports, minority reports, supplier ranking, and master supplier lists.
Support with tariffs.
Management of supplier data, part numbers, pricing, and purchase order tasks in LMACS.
Support buyers to maintain up to date procedures.
Support for annual forecasting to suppliers.
May participate in meetings with suppliers related to pricing, quality, availability and other related issues as needed or for training opportunities.
Comply with all applicable policies and procedures as required by American Mitsuba’s ISO, Quality and Environmental Standards programs (IMDS experience helpful). Understanding of IMDS will be required for the responsibilities of this position (training will be provided).

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of two years related experience and/or training helpful. Strong skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, and other computer-related programs required. Excellent organizational, communication and professional skills a must.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to organize thoughts, compose and write reports, memos, and business correspondence. The person must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as materials and manufacturing costs, unit pricing, freight charges, discounts, price increases. The person must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to arrive at material cost analysis, etc.
Reasoning Ability:
The person must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited information exists, and standard procedures have not been established. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in various computer software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Access experience is helpful. The person must be able to use and create reports and spreadsheets.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A valid driver’s license is required. The candidate must have the ability to obtain a legal United States Passport. Professional affiliations in the field of Purchasing are helpful.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
The individual workspaces are separated by short dividers. There are no private cubicles or individual offices. Private conference rooms are available for work requiring confidentiality or open conversations. AMC is an open office environment, and desks are set in groups. Visual and audible interruptions may be present at any time. A uniform is required to represent a team environment. AMC will provide you with the required uniform.
The office is temperature controlled and the Associates can expect to be reasonably comfortable in business attire.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
