Job Summary
Join our vibrant aquatic team as a Seasonal Lifeguard, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests at our outdoor pool facilities. As a lifeguard, you will monitor pool activities, enforce safety rules, and provide exceptional guest services to create a secure and welcoming environment for everyone. Duties
- Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies
- Enforce all water safety rules and public safety procedures to maintain a secure environment
- Conduct water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as needed during medical emergencies
- Perform routine pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical checks, and equipment inspections
- Provide water safety instruction and educate guests on safe swimming practices
- Assist with guest inquiries, provide excellent customer service, and ensure positive guest experiences
- Support pool operations by performing light maintenance tasks such as pool cleaning and equipment checks
Qualifications
- Valid lifeguard certification with current CPR, AED operation, and first aid training (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working as a lifeguard or in aquatic facility safety roles preferred
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently
- Knowledge of water safety protocols, public safety procedures, and emergency response techniques including cardiac arrest emergency response
- Ability to lift heavy equipment or supplies necessary for pool maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Experience working with children is highly desirable to ensure safe interactions with young swimmers
- Prior experience in pool maintenance or aquatic facility operations is a plus
