The Role: We are seeking an independent, state-certified Asbestos Building Inspector to act as our go-to 1099 sub-contractor for bulk sampling. You will be called to active water mitigation sites to safely and legally collect drywall, joint compound, and flooring samples, submit them to an accredited lab, and provide us with the official documentation so our demolition crews can proceed safely.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to residential job sites to perform targeted bulk sampling of suspect materials (drywall, insulation, flooring, etc.).
- Ensure all sampling is conducted in strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Georgia EPD regulations.
- Manage the chain of custody and deliver samples to an accredited laboratory.
- Provide official lab reports and testing documentation for our project files.
Required Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE: Active EPA/AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector Certification (valid in Georgia).
- Must operate as an independent 1099 contractor (have your own LLC/business entity).
- Must carry your own General Liability and/or Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) insurance.
- Must have your own sampling tools, PPE, and transportation.
Compensation:
- Per-project / Per-sample flat rate (Negotiable based on experience and turnaround time).
Pay: $125.00 - $300.00 per day
