Position Overview
Flowers Electric is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Technician to support our growing residential and commercial service, remodel, and construction operations. This role is ideal for a skilled electrician who excels in troubleshooting, leadership, and customer-facing work, and who is ready to take ownership of projects in the field.
The Lead Electrical Technician will work independently and alongside helpers, coordinate with customers and contractors, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced commercial and residential troubleshooting
- Lead projects including: commercial tenant finishes, remodels, and new construction, residential new construction and remodels, & commercial and residential service upgrades
- Install, troubleshoot, and operate: commercial lighting control system and commercial electric motors
- Demonstrate working knowledge of: voltage drop, derating, circuit/conduit/enclosure sizing, NEC and jurisdiction-specific electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Coordinate directly with customers, contractors, supervisors, and office staff
- Supervise and lead 1–2 helpers on job sites
- Order materials as needed to complete job scope
- Take payments from customers when required
- Utilize ServiceTitan and other company software for job documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle
- Participate in a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call schedule
- Uphold company safety standards and professional appearance
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in: attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas, elevated positions and heights
- Ability to perform manual labor as required
- Comfortable operating: scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers, and similar equipment
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of electrical experience
- Strong commercial and residential background
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage job scope
- Customer-service focused with professional appearance
- Proficient with power tools and trade-specific equipment
- Own required hand tools and select power tools necessary for service truck operations
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience hauling trailers or heavy equipment
- Knowledge of equipment rigging and safe transportation practices
