Department: Field Operations
Reports To: Field Operations Manager / Field Manager
Location: Based out of DFW (or designated home base) with frequent multi-state travel
Schedule: Rotation required (example: 14 days on / 7 days off) with 12-hour shifts; weekends/holidays as needed
Work Environment: Remote client sites, outdoor/industrial conditions, extreme heat/cold, wind, rain; working at heights and around heavy equipment
Job Summary
We are hiring a Crew Team Leader to support modular data center field installations. This role will lead a crew of approximately 10 field installers under the direction of the Field Supervisor. The Crew Team Leader is responsible for helping plan the daily work, keeping the crew productive, reinforcing safety expectations, completing ASTs, and making sure assigned tasks are completed safely and correctly.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with field experience in construction, industrial assembly, modular installation, oilfield services, mechanical work, or similar environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and support a crew of approximately 10 field installers.
· Follow direction from the Field Supervisor and help execute the daily work plan.
· Assign tasks, monitor progress, and keep the crew moving safely and efficiently.
· Complete ASTs and help reinforce safe work practices throughout the shift.
· Participate in daily safety meetings, JSA/JHA reviews, and pre-task planning.
· Support module staging, placement, alignment, fastening, assembly, and installation activities.
· Help coordinate installation of stairs, ladders, catwalks, platforms, brackets, hoses, hardware, and ship-loose components.
· Monitor work quality and report issues, shortages, damages, or delays to the Field Supervisor.
· Help maintain tool control, material staging, housekeeping, and site organization.
· Communicate crew needs, blockers, and next-step requirements clearly.
Required Qualifications
· 2+ years of hands-on field, construction, industrial, mechanical, oilfield, modular, or equipment installation experience.
· Prior lead, crew lead, foreman, or informal leadership experience preferred.
· Ability to lead a small crew and follow supervisor direction.
· Strong safety mindset and ability to complete ASTs and support daily safety expectations.
· Ability to use hand tools, power tools, impact tools, and basic measuring tools.
· Ability to travel and work rotational schedules, 12-hour shifts, weekends, and extended hours.
· Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, rain, mud, and active construction conditions.
· Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with modular construction, data centers, industrial construction, oilfield services, rigging support, mechanical assembly, or field service work.
· Forklift, telehandler, or manlift experience.
· Fall protection training.
· Basic rigging, signaling, or spotter experience.
· Experience working around cranes, lifts, forklifts, and heavy equipment.
· Experience reading basic drawings, layouts, or work instructions.
