The Technical Sales & Service Representative is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient performance of PPG products within the customer//'s operations. This role involves monitoring systems and processes, collecting and maintaining data, conducting audits, and providing technical support in an automotive assembly plant environment. The position requires problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of both PPG and customer organizations.
- Monitor systems and processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform data collection and maintenance for technical evaluations.
- Utilize color and appearance instrumentation to assess product quality.
- Measure paint film thickness and properties to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct vehicle audits to identify and resolve any issues.
- Initiate problem-solving resolutions and provide technical guidance.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer representatives to address technical concerns.
- This role operates within an automotive assembly plant environment.
- The position is based at the Stellantis Paint Shop in Toledo, Ohio.
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical setting or automotive assembly plant environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Waterborne basecoat, Solventborne clearcoat, Powder, and Electrocoat technology is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Required: High school diploma and related work experience.
- Desired: College degree in Chemistry, General Science, or a related discipline.
