Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Before and After School Age Teacher/Van Driver to join our vibrant childcare team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children before and after school hours. Your responsibilities will include supervising children during transportation, ensuring their safety during activities, and fostering their social, emotional, and developmental growth. Responsibilities
- Safely transport children to and from school using the designated van, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Supervise children during before and after school hours, engaging them in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development.
- Maintain a secure environment by practicing effective behavior management and implementing classroom routines.
- Plan and facilitate educational, recreational, and creative activities that support early childhood education and social skills.
- Monitor children’s well-being, administering first aid when necessary, and communicating with parents or guardians about their child's progress or concerns.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, conducting regular safety inspections.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving passenger vans is a plus.
- 21 years of or older
- 30 semester hours of college credit with 9 hours related to school age child care or development, physical education or recreation or
- 3120 clock hours of experience in a recreational program or licensed day care or school.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
