Essential Functions:

Provides professional accounting support in the maintenance and review of the County’s financial records; may provide accounting support for grants.

Maintains and balances financials in assigned area; writes off balances if appropriate.

Gathers and prepares financial information for all departments as needed.

Maintains petty cash funds.

Distributes/allocates funds if applicable.

Provides instruction and leadership of accounting staff on assigned accounting projects.

Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, and requests for assistance in areas of responsibility.

May manage customer accounts (such as those for the Sheriff, Treasurer, or for services such as sewer, water and landfill); monitor and collect on delinquent accounts.

May collect debt setoffs on accounts.

May process refunds.

Adheres to business policies to ensure compliance with all relevant labor and tax laws and regulations.

Performs general clerical work as required, including: attending meetings; preparing reports and correspondence; entering and retrieving computer data; copying and filing documents; sending and receiving faxes; answering the telephone; organize and schedule interviews; ordering supplies and planning events; etc.

Team leads support the payroll, accounts receivable and/or accounts payable manager in their absence with all of their responsibilities and duties.

Attends training, meetings, seminars and/or workshops to enhance job knowledge and skills.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Compensation Minimum: $56,697.75
