Journeyman PlumberJob Summary
Riverside Heating Air Plumbing is looking for a skilled and dependable Journeyman Plumber to join our residential service team in the Fort Smith / River Valley area.
This position is for an experienced plumber who takes pride in quality workmanship, clean job sites, honest communication, and doing the job right the first time. The role will focus mainly on residential plumbing service, repair, replacement, and light installation work, including water heaters, toilets, faucets, drains, leaks, water lines, sewer issues, and other common residential plumbing needs.
We are looking for someone who can represent Riverside professionally in customers’ homes, diagnose plumbing issues accurately, explain repair options clearly, and complete high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Diagnose, repair, and replace residential plumbing systems, fixtures, and components.
- Install and repair water heaters, toilets, faucets, sinks, garbage disposals, shutoff valves, water lines, drain lines, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Troubleshoot leaks, clogs, low water pressure, sewer/drain issues, and other common residential plumbing problems.
- Perform plumbing inspections and provide honest recommendations to homeowners.
- Communicate clearly with customers about findings, repair options, pricing, and next steps.
- Complete service calls, repairs, and installations in a clean, professional, and timely manner.
- Follow Arkansas plumbing codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with HVAC technicians, office staff, and management when jobs require multiple trades.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, service vehicle, and company tools.
- Complete job notes, photos, invoices, and paperwork accurately through company software.
- Represent Riverside Heating Air Plumbing with professionalism, honesty, and respect on every job.
Experience
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license required.
- Residential plumbing service and repair experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of water heaters, fixtures, water lines, drains, sewer lines, and general plumbing systems.
- Ability to diagnose plumbing problems and recommend proper repair or replacement options.
- Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, mechanical rooms, and occupied homes.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and using hand and power tools.
- Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
- Sales or customer-service experience is a plus, but honesty and professionalism are more important.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
