What You’ll Actually Be Doing
As a Direct Support Professional, you will:
- Provide hands-on support with daily living (hygiene, meals, housekeeping)
- Support individuals in the community (appointments, activities, outings)
- Help individuals build independence and life skills
- Maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment
- Follow individualized care plans and document services provided
⚠ Reality of the Role
This position includes:
- Personal care (including bathing, toileting, hygiene)
- Working nights and weekends, regularly
- Supporting individuals through challenging behaviors

Basic Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check (required in Ohio DSP roles)
- Willingness to complete required training (CPR/First Aid, DSP training)
