We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Records and Sterilization Coordinator to join our dynamic orthodontic team. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic medical and dental records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate sterilization processes for orthodontic/dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Monitor sterilization logs, track instrument inventory, and ensure all sterilization procedures meet industry standards for safety and efficacy.
- Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms with necessary supplies, including X-ray equipment and 3D scanners, ensuring readiness for procedures like endodontics, prosthodontics, or pediatric dentistry.
- Assist with medical documentation related to vital signs, medical history updates, and medical coding to facilitate seamless patient care.
- Manage orthodontic/dental records and medical documentation efficiently while safeguarding patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with dental receptionists and chairside orthodontic assistants to ensure smooth workflow during four-handed dentistry sessions and pediatric patient visits.
Qualifications
