Position Overview
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you’ll create a nurturing classroom environment, implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, and build strong partnerships with families to support each child’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with the Head Start Learning Outcomes Framework.
- Conduct four parent conferences annually, including two home visits.
- Foster emotional support, classroom organization, and instructional quality per CLASS standards.
- Maintain a safe, organized classroom using ECERS and Active Supervision protocols.
- Support children’s social-emotional development and self-regulation.
- Collaborate with families on assessments, Family Partnership Agreements, and attendance support.
- Refer families to internal and external resources and follow up on outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings and work with specialists to support children’s needs.
- Maintain accurate records and data entry in ChildPlus.
- Complete health and behavioral screenings within required timelines.
- Promote parent involvement and shared responsibility for early learning.
- Attend trainings, staff meetings, and program reviews.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (AA Degree accepted).
- Experience in preschool teaching and classroom management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, early intervention, and behavior management.
- Familiarity with literacy education and special education practices.

Pay: $18.42 - $20.60 per hour
