Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician with a current 01 license to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various facilities, including manufacturing plants and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and mechanical systems, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and ensure safety standards are met. The Journeyman Electrician will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals
- Operate and interpret programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Ohmmeters for diagnostics
- Perform welding and mechanical tasks related to electrical maintenance projects
- Conduct facilities maintenance including electrical wiring, panel upgrades, and system upgrades
- Supervise maintenance teams during complex projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders and documentation
- Perform residential painting as needed for facility aesthetic improvements
- Lead safety inspections and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs efficiently and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions
Experience
- Proven experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in electrical experience across manufacturing or facilities maintenance environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of schematics, CMMS software, and troubleshooting electrical systems using tools such as Ohmmeters
- Skilled in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding, mechanical knowledge, and residential painting is preferred
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, with leadership skills to guide teams effectively
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, customer service principles, and facilities management
- Ability to read technical schematics and perform complex maintenance tasks confidently in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
Salary
- Pay is between $50.00 - $60.00 depending on experience
- This position is a full-time hourly position
