Position Summary
The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling vendor accounts, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Key Responsibilities
· Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and account coding
· Enter invoices and payment information into accounting systems
· Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation
· Prepare and process weekly/monthly vendor payments
· Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
· Assist with month-end closing activities, including AP reporting and account reconciliations
· Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
· Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on past-due items
· Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and records
· May have some basic AR invoicing and collection responsibilities
· Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as needed
Qualifications
· High school diploma required
· 1–3 years of accounts payable, or accounting experience preferred
· Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
· Basic understanding of accounting principles and invoice processing
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
· Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

Pay: $20.00 per hour
