Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods within our distribution center, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Your expertise in forklift operation and warehouse management systems will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers and support seamless warehouse operations.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately track inventory, process shipments, and update stock records in real-time
- Assist with order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment according to customer specifications
- Stock shelves, organize incoming inventory, and ensure proper placement of goods to optimize warehouse flow
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and handling fragile or heavy items with care
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipment details, completing documentation, and coordinating with carriers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area to promote safety and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a distribution or e-commerce environment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing, and inventory control processes
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Warehouse experience involving stock management, order fulfillment, and packaging is highly preferred
- Valid forklift certification is required; additional certifications such as reach truck or MRPs are advantageous
