JOB DESCRIPTION: IEP Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Special Education Director
JOB GOAL: To assist teachers and parents in the development of an appropriate Individualized Education Program for special education students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with special education teachers and general education teachers in developing an appropriate IEP for special education students
Assists the special education director with referral meetings, initial and continued eligibility meetings, and reevaluation meetings
Keeps, maintains, and files such reports and records as the system may require
Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by a higher authority
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Terms of employment shall be consistent with the law relating to employment by a school system in the State of Alabama. Nine-month year, with a salary scale established by the Board for this position.
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s Policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
