Duties
- Safely operate shuttle buses, delivery trucks, school buses, limousine services, or paratransit vehicles to transport passengers or cargo across designated routes
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and addressing their needs professionally and courteously
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with all transportation regulations
- Load and unload heavy items or luggage, utilizing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury while ensuring timely deliveries or pickups
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition for reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to uphold the highest standards of driving excellence
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a shuttle driver, delivery driver, bus driver, or in similar commercial driving roles; experience with limousine or school bus driving is highly valued
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; appropriate endorsements for passenger or commercial vehicles preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with passengers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling cargo or luggage
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to follow detailed routes and schedules accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
