Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing materials handling, order picking, and equipment operation to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Your active participation will help maintain safety standards, optimize warehouse productivity, and support our commitment to excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Perform order picking and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage warehouse distribution tasks such as shipping & receiving, inventory control, and load & unload activities while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Conduct routine equipment repairs or report mechanical issues promptly to ensure optimal forklift and heavy equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within the warehouse management system and follow proper manual handling procedures.
- Assist with warehouse management tasks under supervision of a warehouse supervisor, supporting overall warehouse organization and safety compliance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards by practicing safe lifting techniques, heavy lifting protocols, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment with hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory tracking.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and heavy equipment operation including load & unload activities.
- Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting forklift or other heavy machinery issues.
- Strong manual handling skills combined with basic math proficiency for accurate inventory counts and measurements.
- Experience in maintaining safety standards in production settings aligned with OSHA regulations.
- Warehouse supervision experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn and grow within the role is essential.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
