International Account Manager/Outside Sales
Reports to: International Sales Manager

Overview: The International Account Manager is responsible for accelerating sales of all Brooks Equipment products to our valued international customers through our established distribution channel. You’ll accomplish this via inside sales and in-person site visits that build upon our existing relationships and adding new clients. You will connect us to decision makers of each department within a customer’s business and follow through to ensure we’re a true partner. Be available to pivot to new initiatives that develop in our business as needed.
Job Responsibilities: International Account Manager/Outside Sales
1.) Prepare customer quotations via email or over the phone. Proper record keeping. All notes must be entered in both Dynamic Connect & CRM for proper communication purposes.
2.) Take orders via phone or email. Sales calls for new/old customers to increase business.
3.) Arranges shipping details and maintains current information and direct communication with our compliance department in export tariffs and restrictions, customer declarations and routing products.
4.) Manage relationships in assigned accounts and countries and drive growth in each account. With input from your team, you’ll implement an effective call plan that will include customer visits within South America. This requires planning, mapping, scheduling confirmed dates and times with our customers, and all associated travel.
5.) Build awareness and a market presence by taking an active role in local trade associations, fire equipment dealer shows, safety fairs, etc.
6.) Maintain a log outlining the visits and the performance of those accounts, before and after the site visits. Prepare a weekly and monthly summary of highlights for reporting through management team, as well as any follow-up items.
7.) Drive synergy within all BSS companies, including Water Specialties, ESC, and the FED Learning Center wherever possible.
8.) Conduct and maintain quarterly detailed market analysis of the territory, including acquisitions, account performance, and effectiveness of the business plan. Adjust accordingly.
9.) Prior to a customer visit, use the screens in CRM for needs, contacts, etc. to prepare for the call. Send a brief agenda in the invite. Ensure we have decision makers in the meeting. Set Outlook reminders for your follow-up. Hand off purely administrative tasks to the inside team wherever possible.
10.) Implement and drive all active initiatives for new products and services within the territory.
11.) Expected travel: 30-40%. This is not so much a requirement, but what we’ve seen in similar roles. You’ll make your own schedule. Very few weekends will be impacted.
12.) Update all CRM comments from customer visits by the end of the following Monday each week.
13.) Provide feedback. We need your feedback in any way we can improve the impact of the role and the best use of your time. We share this responsibility with you.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience
- Fluent Spanish is highly wanted
- Other Languages are a plus
- Self Motivated
- Commission Motivated
- Experience with alarm systems or low voltage is a plus
Pay: $50,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
