As a Resident Assistant, you will help create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for our residents by:
Escorting residents to meals, activities, appointments, and common areas
Providing companionship through conversation, reading, games, and social interaction
Responding promptly to resident call lights and notifying nursing staff when clinical assistance is needed
Assisting residents with dining room seating, meal setup, hydration, and snack service
Helping maintain clean, organized, and clutter-free resident rooms and common areas
Assisting with light housekeeping and environmental cleanliness
Supporting resident activities and encouraging participation
Preparing resident rooms for admissions, transfers, and discharges
Cleaning wheelchairs, walkers, and other resident equipment
Following all infection prevention, HIPAA, and resident rights policies
Working closely with nursing staff to report changes in resident condition or safety concerns
Please Note: This position does not provide hands-on personal care or clinical services. All direct patient care is performed by licensed nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Required
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
Must successfully complete required background screening, drug screening, and health requirements
Preferred
Experience in long-term care, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service
CPR/First Aid Certification
Food Handler or ServSafe Certification (preferred but not required)
This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, pushing wheelchairs, and occasional lifting. The Resident Assistant works in a healthcare environment that operates 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
