Teacher’s Assistant – Job Overview
Growing in Grace Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and Christ-centered Teacher’s Assistant to support our elementary classrooms for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children, enjoys hands-on learning, and has a heart for helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
As a Teacher’s Assistant, you will work alongside the lead teacher to create a warm, encouraging classroom where every child is known, loved, and supported.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and lessons.
- Work with students individually and in small groups to provide additional support.
- Help prepare classroom materials and hands-on learning activities.
- Encourage positive behavior and model Christ-like character.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, and classroom activities.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Communicate professionally with staff and families as needed.
- Support classroom routines while helping each child feel valued and encouraged.
Qualifications:
- Love for working with elementary-aged children.
- Dependable, organized, and flexible.
- Positive attitude and team-player mindset.
- Comfortable working in a Christian, faith-based environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Previous childcare, teaching, or classroom experience is preferred but not required.
