Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities that promote child development and engagement
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety through attentive child supervision and behavior management
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving duties for infants and toddlers in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences while adhering to mandated reporting laws
- Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among children
- Participate in ongoing training on topics such as first aid, pediatric first aid, special education practices, and childhood development
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development instruction, and classroom management techniques is highly desirable
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required; pediatric first aid training is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Prior babysitting or caregiving experience that showcases patience, responsibility, and nurturing skills

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
