Job Title: Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Position Summary
The Welder performs manual TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel and other aerospace metals to fabricate and repair precision parts. The role requires reading blueprints, following welding specifications, inspecting completed welds, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG/GTAW welding on stainless steel and eventually Inconel, Titanium, and Aluminum.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Ensure welds meet aerospace quality standards and engineering tolerances.
- Inspect completed work, document production records, and maintain accurate paperwork.
- Set up basic welding equipment and make minor process adjustments as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and FOD-free while following all safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of TIG welding experience on stainless steel.
- Experience reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Ability to weld thin-wall stainless steel tubing.
- Knowledge of filler materials and stainless steel alloys.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must obtain AWS D17.1 certification within 6 months of hire.
- Aerospace or precision fabrication experience is preferred.
- Vocational welding training or apprenticeship is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently operate welding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Regular exposure to heat and Argon gas.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
