Description:
Set up and maintain set-ups and operate presses, trimmers, headers, drill presses, assembly equipment, hand screw machines and similar types of equipment which may or may not be numerically controlled. May set up more complicated equipment such as Multi-Tooled machines under close supervision while gaining experience. Must complete six month training program or have equivalent experience. Perform all related duties under this classification for the satisfactory completion of the job being worked on.

Regularly check piece part(s) utilizing gauges, micrometers or like precision instruments for tolerance and conformance with specifications.

As conditions permit, chart and maintain records of piece part checks and production.

Change, adjust or modify tooling as needed.

Install new setups and tooling.

Repair and maintain assembly equipment.

Withdraw parts from tool crib, account for broken tools.

Informs product coordinator when parts and/or assemblies do not conform to specifications and make adjustments.

When necessary, operate (load and unload) machinery in accordance with defined methods to meet specified production requirements.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements:
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED
H. S. Diploma or GED/HSED equivalency preferred but not required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
0-2 Years Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS
The ability to stand 2/3 or more of the day
The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
The ability to read and interpret quality standards
The ability to communicate effectively
The ability to work in a fast paced environment
Lifting pans or baskets of parts from ground to waist level, climbing ladders, loading and unloading parts in baskets.
Close Vision, Color Vision and ability to adjust focus are required.
