General Description
In this key position your mission is to nurture a healthy and productive team that creates fans of Real Food as a place to shop and work. Working closely with the general manager, your role will include traditional elements of human resource development and marketing. In this retail environment you’ll also be called on to perform a variety of tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Team Building. Recruit, screen, interview, hire and onboard qualified individuals whose values align with ours. See to the training, development and rewarding of team members in ways that support a high level of job satisfaction. Work with general manager in resolving conflicts and taking disciplinary action as needed.
Marketing. Work with general manager and marketing team to attract new customers and build sales. This includes such things as creating signs and ads, posting on social media, maintaining current information on our web site, planning and conducting special events, making donations to local organizations and more.
Customer Experience. Work with entire store team to build community and provide a shopping experience that is pleasant, satisfying and inspiring.
Leadership Team. Meet and work with leadership team to address storewide and long-term challenges.
Manager on Duty. Serve as manager on duty as needed.
Other Tasks as Needed. Fill in where needed. This may include the full range of regular tasks and unexpected challenges that come up in a retail environment.
Qualifications
With such broad responsibilities the key qualifications are basic qualities such as energy, positivity, adaptability, steadiness and openness to giving and receiving feedback. Education and/or experience in leadership, marketing, human resources, communications, visual arts and health sciences are all desirable but not necessarily required. Most important is your desire and ability to grow in service to our team and our community.
Benefits
