Duties
- Assist with surface preparation including cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion
- Operate powder coating equipment and airless paint sprayers with precision and safety
- Handle materials using forklifts and cranes, ensuring proper storage and movement within the warehouse or fabrication area
- Support the application of industrial and construction paints, auto body repairs, and auto painting projects
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to assist with fabrication and assembly tasks
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and finish quality
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing supplies, disposing of waste properly, and adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Proficiency with forklift operation and crane handling for materials movement
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing, machining, welding, auto body repair, and fabrication processes
- Experience with industrial painting techniques including airless paint spraying and auto painting
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures within warehouse or manufacturing settings
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and continuous improvement
- Ability to work safely with industrial equipment such as cranes, airless sprayers, and welding tools
- Warehouse experience including inventory management and materials organization
- Construction painting skills for applying coatings on structural components
