Salary Range: As a fellowship position compensation is based on a per diem rate of $100 - $125 per day depending on experience.
Xaverian is an independent Catholic school for boys in grades 7-12, sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers. Located in Westwood, Massachusetts, this college-prep school welcomes students from approximately 90 communities across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Xaverian was established in 1963 and presently enrolls over 980 students.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:
Xaverian is seeking applications for a full-time Ryken Fellow. The Ryken Fellow should be a mission-driven, recent college graduate interested in gaining valuable experience in a middle and secondary school environment. The Ryken Fellowship is a year-long opportunity designed to embody the mission of Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools, which is to “inspire lives of learning, faith, and service.” This fellowship is open to recent alumni of Xaverian and XBSS Schools. The Ryken Fellow plays an integral role in the daily operations of the school, contributing in various capacities such as classroom assistants, proctors, and instructional mentors within the X-Ploration Center, the Office of Community, Culture, and Equity, the Ruth Kennedy Library and Academic Center for Enrichment, the Office of Admissions, the Office of Advancement, and the Office of Strategic Communications. Additionally, there may be opportunities for involvement in athletics, campus ministry, or the fine arts. The structure of the fellowship will be customized in partnership with Xaverian’s administration to align with the school’s needs, while also reflecting the Fellow’s individual interests. This full-time, school-day position begins in September and concludes in June at the close of the academic year.
