American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for an Adolescent Unit day shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and strong de-escalation skills.

Adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit in a behavioral health hospital setting
-
6-bed adolescent unit serving patients with thought disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, and mania
-
Patient ratio of 3:5
-
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
Weekend coverage required

Floating between facilities within a 25-mile radius may be required
-
No on-call requirements
-
12-week contract
-
Active ME RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute adult mental health or psychiatric settings

Strong de-escalation skills required

SSN, DOB, Driver's License, 2 professional references, and current license verification required for consideration

Business casual dress code required; no ripped jeans, shorts, logo t-shirts or sweatshirts, or open-toed shoes

Airpods, laptops, and cell phone use are prohibited on the unit

Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local and subject to a different pay rate

Local candidates are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
