Common Grounds Café & Roastery is a specialty coffee shop and roastery known for handcrafted beverages, in-house roasted coffee, and elevated all-day brunch. We are seeking an experienced Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, guest-focused, passionate about coffee, and thrives in a fast-paced café environment.
Job Type
- Part-time or Full-time
- Must be available 3–5 days/week, including weekends
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality espresso beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to café standards
- Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace
- Complete opening and closing procedures
- Follow beverage recipes, portion guidelines, and quality control standards
- Support café operations including food running, bussing, restocking, and cleaning
- Assist with roastery tasks such as bagging, labeling, and packaging coffee when needed
- Uphold all health and food safety standards
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Qualifications
- 1+ year barista experience required
- Strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor
- Interest in coffee and continuous learning (roasting shadowing available)
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
