Fox CDJR Taylor is hiring a full-time Service Advisor in Taylor, MI to serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role exists to ensure customer concerns are documented precisely, repairs are authorized appropriately, and expectations around timing and cost are managed with accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Check on the progress of repairs throughout the day and provide customers with frequent updates on the status of their vehicles
- Open and manage repair orders, capturing customer concerns clearly
Provide written estimates for parts and labor; obtain approvals for changes
Review service history, perform walkarounds, and recommend additional services as appropriate
Monitor repair progress and communicate updates through completion
Close repair orders and explain completed work and charges
Required qualifications:
- Comfort using technology to support an exceptional customer experience
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and time-management skills
- Valid driver's license
As a Service Advisor, your day centers on steady customer interaction and careful documentation. You'll start by reviewing the appointment schedule and any customer or vehicle details gathered in advance, then welcome arrivals and confirm concerns at check-in. Throughout the day, you'll prepare clear written estimates, track vehicle status, and provide timely updates when pricing or promised completion times change-securing authorization before work continues. Before delivery, you'll verify repair-order notes are complete, then walk customers through the completed work and final charges to ensure a smooth, informed pickup experience.
