Ohman Family Living is seeking a compassionate, motivated Restorative Rehabilitation Aide to join our growing Rehabilitation team.
This unique role works alongside Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, and our interdisciplinary care team to help residents maintain and improve the functional gains they've achieved during therapy. By continuing restorative programs after skilled therapy services, you'll play a vital role in promoting independence, preventing functional decline, and improving each resident's quality of life.

Position Summary
As a Restorative Rehabilitation Aide, you will work under the direction of our Therapy and Nursing teams to provide individualized restorative care that helps residents maintain mobility, strength, endurance, balance, and independence.
This position bridges rehabilitation and nursing by reinforcing therapy goals and encouraging residents to remain as independent as possible through structured restorative programming.
Essential Responsibilities
- Carry out individualized restorative programs developed by the Therapy and Nursing teams
- Assist residents with walking programs, transfers, balance activities, strengthening exercises, and range of motion programs
- Reinforce therapy techniques to help residents maintain functional progress after skilled therapy services
- Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, confidence, and independence
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical abilities or condition
- Accurately document restorative treatments and resident progress
- Collaborate closely with Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy teams
- Assist with positioning, mobility equipment, and restorative devices as appropriate
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging rehabilitation environment
- Follow all safety standards, infection control practices, and resident care policies
Qualifications
Qualified candidates may be one of the following:
- Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Long-Term Care
- Passion for working with older adults
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and transfers
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Positive attitude with a resident-centered approach to care
