Summary
The UNITS Delivery Specialist is a critical role and face of the UNITS brand which impacts the overall success of our business.
This is a unique position and opportunity to work closely with the franchise owner in planning and executing UNITS portable storage services to our customers daily.
Delivery Specialist Duties & Responsibilities:
- Forklift certified and the ability to move/stack Portable Storage Containers inside/outside the warehouse
- Operate the UNITS Delivery Systems as instructed by UNITS Franchising Group
- Ensures all UNITS containers are delivered and/or transported to customer in a safe and timely manner
- Monitors quality control and responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving with the physical and engineering aspects of the UNITS containers
- Exhibits excellent customer service skills always, even during transit over the road. The driver is “the face” of the company.
- Responsible for maintenance and service of the delivery system, forklift and UNITS brand containers
- Inspect, clean and water test all containers
- Responsible for communicating with the operations leadership and customer on scheduling of deliveries and pickups of containers
- Deliver purchased and rented items with the UNITS container as ordered by the customer
- Perform daily pre-shift inspection of the UNITS delivery System as required by DOT by executing the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report
- Assist the operations with meeting the required regulations for OSHA standards
- Complete the Driver’s Log and DVIR for submission to operations leadership at the end of each day
Experience/Skills/Requirements:
- Class C Non-Commercial Driver’s License
- Medical card
- Certified Forklift Operator: (Experience preferred. Training available.)
- Customer Service: 3 years
- Delivery specialist of over-sized truck. (No CDL Required)
- Outstanding reliability
- Personal ownership and accountability
- Creative problem solving/strategic thinking
- Flexibility and adaptable to change
- Able to lift minimum of 50 lbs. (wheels/gate)
- Valid and current driver’s license with clean driving record
- Exhibit great attention to detail with exceptional time management skills
- Military service respected and welcomed
Compensation Range:
- $22.00 to $27.00 per hour, based upon experience
- Additional bonus opportunities
