We are looking for a Mechanical Craftsperson - Mechanical Maintenance (Concentrator) to join the Kennecott Asset Management department in a Mechanical Maintenance role. In this role, you will help improve the availability, reliability, and maintenance processes for fixed plant equipment located at the Concentrator.
This is a great opportunity for a safety-focused craft professional to work in a collaborative team environment while supporting reliable operations on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including both days and nights.
Reporting to the Supervisor - Maintenance and working within a dedicated Maintenance team at Kennecott, you will:

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment while supporting training for team members or apprentices when required

Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical components on fixed plant process equipment, including SAG mills, ball mills, pumps, and support equipment, in line with MSHA standards and standard work instructions

Partner with Maintenance Support to develop safe and efficient standard work instructions and maintenance improvement activities

Identify and contribute to cost-saving initiatives, reliability improvements, and process enhancements for Concentrator equipment

Support installation and commissioning activities for plant equipment as needed

Review drawings, specifications, and work requirements to determine safe work methods and activity sequencing

Estimate time, materials, and resources required to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently

A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

Ability and commitment to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including both days and nights
-
Relevant mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in heavy industry, mining, or a millwright trade environment

State electrical or millwright licensing, technical electrical training, or equivalent relevant experience

Capability in welding, basic hydraulics, equipment alignment, pumps, and mechanical or electrical fundamentals

Strong problem-solving, organization, adaptability, reading comprehension, and written communication skills
