A stylist-in-training is a position designed to introduce soon to graduate cosmetology school students to the salon environment and help them learn the business. Job duties include:

communicating effectively with customers and coworkers

observe manager and other stylists at work and asking questions
-
answer phones, perform reception duties, sanitizing tools and light cleaning duties
-
ability to work in a fast paced salon environment
-
open to learning new techniques
-
graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license to perform salon services within 30 days of hire
