JOB SUMMARY:
The Yard Spotter will move materials around the yard per manager/supervisor direction. It will be the Yard Spotter’s responsibility to move material in a safe manner to keep materials in an organized manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· CDL preferred
· Good MVR
· Ability to drive 18-wheeler truck around property
· Flexibility for overtime; 10+ hours; Saturdays required
· Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
· Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
· Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test
· A minimum of 40 hours per week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Move material and trailers around yard using 45 – 53’ trailer
· Navigate safely in a congested yard
· Load and transport skids containing stainless or carbon steel pipe
· Strap loads when needed
· Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
· Good communication skills
· Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
· Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
· Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
· Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
· Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
