Overview
Liberty Home Comfort (www.libertyhomecomfort.com) — sister company to Canada Energy Audits (www.canadaenergyaudit.ca) — is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BPI Certified Energy Auditor to join our growing Georgia team. In this role, you will perform residential energy audits, quality control inspections (QCI), combustion safety testing, duct leakage testing, and weatherization assessments for homes participating in state and federally funded energy-efficiency programs, including the Inflation Reduction Act’s HER (Home Energy Rebate) and HOMES programs.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in building science, weatherization, home performance testing, and residential energy conservation who are passionate about improving housing efficiency, safety, and comfort.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive residential energy audits on single-family homes.
- Perform blower door testing, duct leakage testing, and pressure diagnostics.
- Complete combustion appliance zone (CAZ) testing and safety inspections.
- Develop work scopes for recommended weatherization improvements.
- Perform QCI (Quality Control Inspector) final inspections on completed projects.
- Evaluate insulation levels, air leakage pathways, HVAC systems, and ventilation requirements.
- Calculate and verify ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation requirements.
- Utilize NEAT/MHEA energy audit software to model homes and develop recommended measures.
- Document findings with photos, field notes, and completed audit reports.
- Travel to assigned homes throughout Georgia and surrounding service areas.
- Communicate professionally with agencies, contractors, and homeowners.
Skills
- Current BPI Energy Auditor Certification (or equivalent BPI certification).
- Experience performing residential energy audits or weatherization inspections.
- Knowledge of blower door testing, duct testing, and combustion safety diagnostics.
- Understanding of building science principles and home performance testing.
- Experience with NEAT/MHEA software or similar residential energy modeling software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Willingness to travel throughout assigned service areas.
Preferred Skills
- BPI QCI Certification.
- Experience with the DOE Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).
- Familiarity with ASHRAE 62.2 standards.
- Experience with Community Action Agencies or utility efficiency programs.
Compensation
Performance-based compensation based on completed homes.
- Typical earnings range from $750 – $1,250 per week.
- Compensation is based on the number of homes completed each week.
