We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Facilities Operator to support the daily operations and maintenance of our property. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, takes pride in maintaining clean and safe facilities, and is comfortable performing a variety of maintenance, transportation, and delivery tasks.
The successful candidate must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while maintaining a professional attitude.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Compensation: $400 per week as an Independent Contractor (1099)
Additional Compensation: $75 for each approved after-hours event requiring facility opening, monitoring, cleaning, and closing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine interior and exterior facility maintenance and upkeep.
- Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of buildings, grounds, and surrounding property.
- Operate company vehicles safely for deliveries, pickups, and transportation-related assignments.
- Serve as a delivery driver for scheduled and periodic deliveries.
- Operate equipment including lawn mowers, tractors, and other maintenance equipment.
- Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and general site upkeep.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and vehicles and promptly report maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow all equipment operating procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
- Assist with transporting supplies, materials, and equipment as needed.
- Support facility operations during occasional after-hours events by opening the facility, preparing the space, cleaning afterward, and securing the building upon completion.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Clean criminal background is required.
- Must have reliable personal transportation to and from work.
- Must live in the Havana area or be able to consistently report to work by 8:30 a.m. each scheduled workday.
- Experience operating lawn maintenance equipment, tractors, and similar machinery is preferred.
- No history of preventable accidents involving vehicles or powered equipment.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and complete tasks without close supervision.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, bending, walking, climbing, and standing.
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate powered equipment for extended periods.
Additional Information
This position is offered as an Independent Contractor (1099) role. The successful candidate must be dependable, professional, and flexible to assist with occasional evening or weekend events as needed. Additional compensation of $75 per event will be paid for approved after-hours facility support assignments.
