We are seeking a dedicated and passionate K2 Teacher Assistant who supports the classroom teacher in providing a Christ-centered, nurturing, and academically engaging learning environment for young students. This role is essential in helping students grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally while upholding the mission and values of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons
- Help prepare instructional materials, centers, and classroom resources
- Support students with classroom routines, transitions, and organization
Student Care & Supervision
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, chapel, and transitions
- Assist with behavior guidance using positive, age-appropriate strategies
- Support students’ social and emotional development in a nurturing manner
Faith & Character Development
- Model Christ-like behavior in speech, actions, and relationships
- Support Bible instruction, prayer, and Christian character development
- Reinforce biblical values such as kindness, respect, responsibility, and self-control
Classroom Management & Organization
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment
- Assist with record-keeping, grading, and basic administrative tasks as directed
- Communicate observations and concerns to the lead teacher

Qualifications
- A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with the school’s statement of faith
- Love for children and a heart for Christian education
- High school diploma required; college coursework in education preferred
- Previous experience working with children (school, church, childcare, or similar setting) preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, staff, and parents
- Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift classroom materials as needed
- Must pass background checks and meet all school requirements
