MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative and Business Skills:

Identify fabric on storage rack record to assure proper placement of materials.

Scan fabric tickets and enter information into system.
- Complete ticket on covering material, recording amount used.
-
Report any non-conformances to the immediate supervisor.
Technical Skills:
-
Understand instructions on cut sheets to pull appropriate materials and placing them on appropriate cut tables.

Operate automated cutting equipment in a safe manner.
-
Responsible for automated cutting equipment performance and keep maintenance records updated.
-
Responsible for efficient operations from the automated cutting equipment.
-
Check materials for accurate yardage.
-
Cut material to cut sheet standards.
-
Operate system for automated cutting equipment cutter software.
-
Dispose of recyclable materials, removing them from area.
-
Keep area clean and free of debris.
-
Retrieve proper fabric rack, according to production schedule.

Pull fabric from transporting roll and place on cutting table to specified length.

Calculate amount of yards used from fabric rolls and update roll tag.

Double check for proper amount of fabric layers on cutting table according to production schedule.

Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Physical demands: Must be able to work continuously in a standing position for the duration of a shift (10 hours), pull fabric with hands, and lift 10 pounds continuously and occasionally 25 pounds. Repetitive movements required with arms and hands while grasping and handling cut pieces of material.
- Mental Demand: Must be able to read English and scan bar code tickets into the computer system, and learn basic computer commands. Must have good visual ability in order to determine fabric patterns and make color distinctions on various fabric and materials.

Work environment: Medium level of noise from automated cutting equipment operating, some airborne lint and light dust from handling various types of fabrics.
POSITION STATEMENT:
The Cutter position will provide services to ensure that fabrics are cut to customer (Internal and External) specifications. This position is also responsible for ensuring that pattern pieces are properly organized and properly distributed to the sewing work-stations, all within the quality standards of Wieland Designs, Inc.

Escanear las etiquetas de las telas e ingresar la información en el sistema.

Completar la etiqueta del material de recubrimiento, registrando la cantidad utilizada.

Habilidades Técnicas:

Comprender las instrucciones en las hojas de corte para seleccionar los materiales apropiados y colocarlos en las mesas de corte correspondientes.

Operar el equipo de corte automatizado de manera segura.

Ser responsable del rendimiento del equipo de corte automatizado y mantener actualizados los registros de mantenimiento.

Garantizar la operación eficiente del equipo de corte automatizado.
-
Verificar los materiales para asegurar el metraje correcto.

Cortar el material de acuerdo con los estándares de la hoja de corte.

Operar el software del sistema de corte automatizado.
-
Desechar los materiales reciclables, retirándolos del área.

Mantener el área limpia y libre de desechos.

Recuperar el estante de tela adecuado, según el programa de producción.

Extraer la tela del rollo transportador y colocarla en la mesa de corte a la longitud especificada.

Calcular la cantidad de yardas utilizadas de los rollos de tela y actualizar la etiqueta del rollo.

Verificar nuevamente la cantidad adecuada de capas de tela en la mesa de corte de acuerdo con el programa de producción.

Leer hojas de corte.

Demandas físicas y entorno laboral:
Las demandas físicas y las características del entorno laboral descritas aquí son representativas de aquellas que un empleado debe cumplir para desempeñar con éxito las funciones esenciales de este puesto. DECLARACIÓN DEL PUESTO:
El puesto de Cortador será responsable de asegurar que las telas se corten de acuerdo con las especificaciones del cliente (interno y externo). Asimismo, será responsable de garantizar que las piezas de los patrones estén organizadas y se distribuyan correctamente a las estaciones de costura, todo dentro de los estándares de calidad de Wieland Designs, Inc.
