Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
- Conduct diesel engine repairs and service to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, replacements, welding, and fabrication tasks.
- Execute wheel alignments and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure vehicle safety features operate correctly.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, auto body repair, welding, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with automotive service standards including alignment procedures and powertrain components.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical instruments safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills.
