The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for receipt of materials, components, and goods into our ERP system, cycle counting, and where applicable incoming inspection.
RESPONSIBILITIIES:
- Receive goods into receiving department based upon need and priority.
- Ensure that product received at the receiving door is packaged appropriately to protect against damage.
- Receive materials and components into system within our designated processes.
- Confirm UL and CSA labeling requirements
- Responsible for contacting Purchasing when discrepancies arise
- Ensure wire received in meets requirements
- Ensure to print and customer spec, that product meets requirements.
- Assist Quality Lead and/or Quality Manager in placing components into the NCM Crib.
- Assist Quality Manager in releasing components from the NCM Crib.
- Assist Quality Manager and/or Purchasing Manager in auditing the contents of the NCM Crib.
- Receive materials from both common carrier and specialty carriers.
- Ability to accurately fill out paperwork.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry into ERP system.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work in Final Inspection and/or production departments as necessary.
- Photo document any discrepancies in received goods.
- Meet responsibilities of all related work and operational instructions, forms that are required to accomplish the tasks associated with the Receiving Coordinator position.
- Complete cycle counts using ERP system.
EDUCATION and TRAINING:
The Receiving Coordinator is required, as a minimum, to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. The Quality Manager and the HR Manager can determine whether education and training are “equivalent” based on their experience.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY:
The Receiving coordinator must be willing and able to continually bend over, pick up, and move boxes of materials and components. This job requires continuous physical movement. The position responsible for personnel to stand for long periods of time. Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and work instructions.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous shipping/receiving experience helpful, computer skills (basic knowledge), familiar with ISO 9000 / UL CSA helpful but not required.
