Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish execution and ingredient selection to enhance the dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders while maintaining attention to detail.
- Participate in food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating dishes with precision.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation, timely delivery of orders, and excellent service standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary environment, preferably with fine dining or restaurant experience.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration and learning.
