Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field
- Valid teaching credential and required state licensure/certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Strong understanding of auditory/oral and/or total communication approaches
- Familiarity with IEP processes and case management
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing loss, adapting lessons as needed
- Implement evidence-based strategies to support language and academic development
- Develop, review, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress records
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
- Contribute to building a positive, supportive academic environment
This is an onsite position, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours weekly during the school year. Caseload details will be shared prior to assignment to ensure an optimal match for your expertise and interests.
