Haworth Apothecary is a locally owned and full service pharmacy, located in Bergen County, NJ. In store we have our gift boutique, we offer unique gifts for every occasion and holiday. We are currently looking for a gift sales clerk to join our Haworth Apothecary team.
Objective:
To provide exemplary customer service in sale of products, while performing basic cashier and stocking tasks. Acts as a liaison between the sales floor and inventory stock.
Responsibilities:
- Responds to customers effectively and timely
- Answers customer's questions about merchandise, advises customers on merchandise selection and handles special orders on request.
- Accurately itemizes and totals customer merchandise selection at checkout counter, using cash register and obtaining payments by processing cash, checks, credit cards, and house accounts.
- Prepares and gift wraps merchandise as needed
- Responsible and accountable for cash drawer, including counting till in the beginning and end of a shift
- Answers and routes customer phone calls
- Assists in receiving over the counter orders
- Cleans display cases, shelves and aisles
- Prices & restocks merchandise and supplies as needed
- Verifies and acknowledges shipments from UPS and Fedex
Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team Player
- Retail Management Solution (RMS) experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn
- Retail experience
- Position requires evening and weekend availability
